Arien Crawford, Staff Accountant
Arien Crawford joined Wolf, Tesar & Company, P.C. in December 2007. She graduated from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska with a B.S. in Accounting in January 2004. Shortly before graduation, Arien began her career at a public accounting firm in Omaha, Nebraska, where she remained until moving to Illinois.
Arien is currently working toward a MBA in Accounting and should complete study in January 2009.
After hours, Arien spends most of her free time with daughter, Chelsey and son, Dylan. She also enjoys active sports, mainly volleyball, softball and bowling.
Ali Lohnes, Staff Accountant
Ali Lohnes joined Wolf, Tesar and Company shortly after receiving her BA degree from the University of Phoenix. As a Staff Accountant, she's involved in almost all aspects of our accounting business and says she loves every minute.
"I was studying to become a nurse," Ali says, "and fell into accounting almost by accident."
While attending Nursing school Ali was asked to fill in for the vacationing bookkeeper at her "day job." Ali found that she loved the work and was good at it -- and that "accident" launched her permanent career path.
Ali lives in Pekin with a 13-year-old daughter who keeps her life outside the office very full. She's an avid scrapbooker and plays 2nd base on a group softball team -- when her daughter's activities leave her any extra time to breathe.
Laura Niemann, Staff Accountant
Laura Niemann joined Wolf, Tesar and Company, P.C. in September 2005 and currently works part-time. Her duties include monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and income tax compliance work for clients. Laura deals with both business and individual clients and really helps us out a lot during the busy season.
Laura graduated from Bradley University in May 2005 earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She resides in Pekin with her husband, Reverend Glenn Niemann, and their two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and quilting in her free time.
Katie Redman, Staff Accountant
Katie Redman started working for Wolf, Tesar and Company in January 2006. Her responsibilities include accounting and tax compliance services to monthly, quarterly and annual clients as well as assistance on many of the audit clients of the firm. She has a good working knowledge of various accounting software programs and she brings great small client service experience with her and is an important member of the Wolf, Tesar team.
Katie graduated from the University of Illinois at Springfield in May 2005 with a BA in Accounting. She previously worked at a public accounting firm in Lincoln, IL. In her free time she enjoys playing the piano, riding her motorcycle, and spending time with her husband and dog.
Cynthia Smith, Staff Accountant
Cindy Smith joined the Wolf, Tesar and Company team in September 2007 and is currently a full-time staff accountant. Her responsibilities include managing monthly and quarterly accounting work as well as preparing corporate and individual tax returns.
Cindy graduated from Bradley University in December 2005. She has passed three sections of the CPA examination and is studying for the fourth to be completed in the spring 2008. She resides in Dunlap with her husband and three children. In her free time, Cindy enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her children.
Shantel R. Zoss, CPA
As a CPA with Wolf, Tesar and Company, P.C., Shantel Zoss has a broad base of business clients. She is responsible for their monthly bookkeeping, as well as preparing their annual tax returns and providing ongoing accounting assistance. She also prepares individual tax returns during tax season.
Shantel joined Wolf, Tesar and Company, P.C. in January 2001 after moving to Illinois from Iowa where she grew up. Previously, she worked in the private sector for 1 1/2 years after graduating from the University of Northern Iowa in 1999 with a BA in Accounting. She and her husband, Ben, have one daughter, Madeline.
